Bourjois Rendez-vous á Paris SO Laque glossy nail polishes.

About a month ago, I tried (and failed) to purchases some new Models Own hyper gel polishes. I fell in love with the colours and wanted to try the new formula.
However the posting laws for polishes had changed and you can no longer send them abroad. So no Models Own polishes for me in Japan then :(.

Recently I went to my local drug store to get the Bourjois's Magic 1 Second Nail Polish Remover (fantastic)....and then I saw these...
(from L-R)06 Adora-bleu, 04 Amande Défilé, and  03 BC Beigé.

The new collection is inspired by different areas of Paris.

Bourjois UK site says..."Its formula is ultra-resistant and enriched with vinyl and resins to make your nails shine, prevent them from chipping and keep them looking shiny, neat and full of glossy colour to last for up to 10 days!"

I got (from L-R)06 Adora-bleu, 04 Amande Défilé, and  03 BC Beigé. As they look very similar to the colours I wanted from Model Own.

(From L-R)06 Adora-bleu, 03 BC Beigé and  04 Amande Défilé
this is with 2 or 3 coats. I prefer thinner coats, drys quicker I think.
04 Amande Défilé is a gorgeous pastel mint green. 06 Adora-bleu is such a unique colour to me, it's a striking cornflower blue. 03 BC Beigé is a colour I wouldn't normal be drawn to but I'm glad I got it. It's a fabulous greige, putty colour. So easy to wear!

Do they live up to Bourjois's claims?

They are glossy and they do last very well.

Last for 10 days?

I've had BC Beigé on my nails for nearly a week.  They has been some chipping but impressively they still look presentable and have last shockingly well.

Overall, I am very impressed with these polishes. Great choice of colours, easy to apply and lasts well. I am actually thinking about picking up a few more, there is a gorgeous taupe colour calling me and I am still on the hunt for a fabulous vintage red.

What do you think of Bourjois new collection? Have you tried it? Do you want to?

K bought me a Kindle for my Birthday in September so I have been very preoccupied with that lol.

Apart from hair, I am also loving mint green anything! jeans, socks, shirts, nails ….you get the picture.
Mint jeans, Mint shirt from Forever 21 and a Soroban cd(my photo)

continuing with the mint ...mint nail polish obviously. I am really loving this mint polish(middle) that I got in Donki. It's gorgeous.
I also love the other two polishes, the Barry-m one is one I brought with me from England. and the Pa one (sparkles green, gold and blue) is another one I bought from Donki.

My favourite kinds of polishes are holographic, duo chrome and top coats like the Pa one that have little duo chrome flakes. So pretty and make nails look a little more interesting in my opinion.

Cambridge satchels
I have been lusting after one of these bags for a few years now. they recently did a pastel collection too!!

Currently reading
Just finished Game of Thrones(love it! can't wait to read the rest) and I'm now reading 'Nicholas and Alaxandra:The tragic and Compelling Story of the Last Tsar and his Family' which is about the Romanovs. I've found it can be a bit dry in places, lots of detail but I am still finding it very interesting. Reading it makes me wish I could see all the beautiful jewellery and deco described in the book.

Nails:MAC Venomous Villains

EEE been busy busy, sorry about that.
So at the beginning of October the MAC Venomous Villains Collection came out, initially when I heard about the release I was really excited and after seeing the swatches I wanted a fair few products. However in the end all I brought was 2 polishes as (at the time) they were very unique and I'm a sucker for anything duo chrome or holographic XD
I was aware that ORLY have dupe polishes in the form of their Cosmic FX collection but that's a very difficult brand for me to get hold of and ironically worked out more expensive (at the time).
*ACCESORIZE (available at Superdrugs in the UK) have just released their new make up line which has 3 polishes that are allegedly dupes~HERE £4 for 10ml*

So I picked up Mean & green and Formidable(bad fairy didn't interest me) at £8 a piece :O most expensive polishes i own now.

On to the photos

Swatches

Overall impression
I've read reviews of some people loving these and some people hating them with the main complaints being that the brushes are rubbish and the consistancy is too thin so they take forever to dry.
Well for me ,I really like them.Their beautiful colours,my brush on Mean & Green is a bit frayed:( but i can live with it.The consistency is thin  but for me it doesn't take ages to dry cos I do 1 thin layer and then a thicker layer followed by a 3rd layer (and sometimes a 4th depending on how opaque i want it) and honestly I can live with that as long as the layer don't feel to thick.
They chip the same as my other polishes but  i really need a better top coat in order to evaluate that better:O

Price~ They are expensive in comparison to other polishes £8 for 10ml( and their limited edition so their probably  insanely priced now on Ebay)
Price comparisons~ Accesorise dupes are £4 for 10ml,OPI can be £9 for 15ml(Ive never paid that much but thats their rrp)  and Barry-m are £2.95 for 10ml

If your interested in these,I'd probably go for the ORLY ones or Accessories ones as their probably cheaper and easier to get hold of.:D
EDIT:a few better pictures of them in natural light

Update:Outfits, make up,nails and recent revlon lipsticks I brought plus swatches:)

So before my recent blush boom,I was craving lipsticks(still am really:O)
So after browsing my local Superdrugs and looking at the new realesed Revlon lipsticks~Color Burst
I felt drawn to the matt collections,I don't usually buy lipsticks especially drugstore ones as I find most have a lustre on them which i think looks old.
Anyways I found myself really liking alot of Revlon's lipsticks,Im usually abit wary of buying lipsticks as i don't fully know what colours suit me and I worry they'll look rubbish. So after going home empty handed I had a gander on ebay to try and find one particular colour I felt drawn to Strawberry suede and ended up finding 4 brand new lipsticks for about £10 :O which is brill considering they retail at £7.50 each!

So I ended up getting ,Nude Attitude(which I wanted to try),Pink Pout, Pink about it and Strawberry Suede(which was the one i wanted in the 1st place)

Swatches

Nude Attitude

 Pink Pout

Pink about it
 Strawberry Suede
So I like them all but my fave now is Pink Pout,I think the darker colours ages me alittle but still wearable.
however I really need to wear a lipliner with these lipsticks,so I shall have to invest:)

So my current Lipstick collection looks like this now

All the Revlons on the left then, YSL #7 (<3), Rimmel Pink Vintage, Rimmel Sassy and finally Barry-m 101

Swatches of some of my other lipsticks
Barry-m 101
I never wear this on its own,I don't find it a particularly nice formula but it works well at concealing your lipcolour,so I use it as a base for nude lips and add pink gloss over it.

YSL #7
A fair few gyaru models have this lipstick, Kumikki, Suzu, Tsubasa (their the only ones i can think of off the top of my head)

Rimmel Vintage Pink

I forgot to swatch the other one:o

Next lipsticks I have my eye on are MAC's Myth and Creamcup,I've added them to my wish list:)

Some other photos from recently.(i.e from the lash month till now)

Evening out at the Pub for  a leaving do and the very 1st wear of my W<3C skirt~ love it!

EOTD make up for the Evening

After Seeing Jenny's(aka SushiCat) post about theses lashes I had to buy some aswell,I've got cheap bulk ebay lashes before, but for some reason hadn't brought any more cute/different styles.Such a good way to try them out and so cheap it doesn't matter if you ruin themby layering them up:D

Nails for that week( can't take credit for the design,I was trying to do the mani that Rui has in my gal model blog spam)
Simple nude and baby pink with a few diamantes:)

Went out for a jdrama night at my friend's house,so simple make up and played around with my hot rollers:D
Forgot how much I like them, wearing the criss cross lashes from above

Playing around with the other lashes I brought, there epically long.I've nevr had a pair that touch the glasses of my glasses before:O

Went out for a friends birthday ,so dollied myself up

EOTN make up photos

Update:New nail varnishes

I really should stop making post and then saving them because when I come to post them ,the dates and timeframes are all wrong and i have to re word them anyways:(
Seeing Mitsu's post on nails trends recently reminded me that i hadn't posted this yet:O(it also makes me want to start experimenting with my nails again:O)

Couple of weekends ago I received my nail varnishes from  enchantedbeautyspot at ebay which I ordered a while ago but thanks to the ash cloud hadn't received until recently.

The Friday before  I hunted downs Barry-M's ice cream nail varnish range, and I picked up Blueberry and Berry ice cream:D
Blueberry for me and Berry for my up coming giveaway:D

I fell out of the habit of doing my nail:( and with my job I don't actually think I'm allowed to have them painted but i do anyways because I like having them painted more than i like my job besides noone's said anything yet.
Here's some recent nails~just colour nothing else
Barry-M's Blueberry
Lovely colour, goood coverage and good price

Essie~Tart deco
Love this one,Its the exact same shade of coral i used in my final major project last year.
Downside is it doesn't mix well with a top coat.It turned the polish a weird orange colour instead of the gorgeous coral it comes out as.Thus its a polish to wear without top coat which makes its more prone to chips:(
 Barry-M~Fushia 272
I think this is an advertisementc  for not applying polish in low lighting conditions:O

My newest polish Barry-m~Strawberry ice ream<3 this one

Current polish collection
I did not know I owned so many pinks:O odd seeing as purple is my favouirte colour:S
Also instersting to see what my brand habits are.
Clearly I love Barry-M~its good quality for the price though some of them require more coats than others and they also have a very good range of colours:)

I prefer OPI and Chinaglaze for longer lasting polishes:)
My one and only Mavala polish is missing from this photos:S I love it thought, its the perfect blue based purple and has outstanding lasting and coverage.Definitely need to buy more mavala polishesXD

Also finally got around to buying a new make up bag, since my one is far too small for my daily make up

BB photo spam again

End of April I took a day trip to Norwich to see my old house mate and decided to buy a face mask from Lush and the lovely sales girl gave me the other one for free as it was nearing the end of it shelf life and because she was nice:D
Also picked up some trainers for High jump unfortunately for my friend who wanted me to join the gym their not running shoes thou:O
The day after(Sunday) my friend and I went for are usual end of month coffee at our local costa only to discover it was closed .Thus ending with us going for coffee at Sandringham,:Dawww look at the cute stuffed corgis:D

Brought my 1st Elle in a long while and was disappointed "beauty special"?? ehh no

began doing a continuous line drawing a day(hence the scruffy appearence) I can draw neatly but i prefer it looking alittle more messy:) and abstract
Returned home after a trip out to find  my present(black cats peanut butter) from my dad's recently trip to South Africa had arrivedXDI love peanut butter!!
The other peanut butter I brought myself much to my sisters dismay at the cost...what can i say,I like good quailty peanut butter!! Made with just nuts and oil.
