Unif Hellraisers

I've had my UNIF Hellraisers since November 2012. They were on my wish list for a while, 

 but it wasn't until the black friday/ cyber monday sale time that I bought a pair.

I don't like buying clothing online. I would do it occasionally but only if I knew the sizing system.

Buying these shoes was rather stressful. I read lots and lots of reviews, to try and work out what size I would be. It was confusing.

I am a UK 6.5/  JPN 24.5-25cm/  EUR 39.

Unif don't do half sizes, and the general advise is to size up if you're a half size.

Makes sense....however I have very narrow and skinny feet. I usually can't wear slip on shoes, as they just slip off:/

So after some thinking and talking with some wiser friends,  I sized down.

 As hell raisers are 100% leather.......and leather will stretch. Logical, right?

So I ordered a pair of US 8's  from Tilted sole (great shop), which is a EUR 38 1/2 and a JPN 24........I'm JPN 24.5-25cm. Oh uh. 

Anyways ...I waited and worried until finally my shoes arrived.

I opened the box......

• Gorgeous 
• Great quality and well made
• Soft leather 

but I tried them on and.......... I regretted my decision to size down.

• They were tight 
• I had little faith they would stretch. 
• However I could not send them back :(. Final sale.

After a lot of debating, I decided to keep them and try to stretch them.
About a month later (with some slight discomfit)..... they did stretch and I am so happy I kept them.


They are my favourite shoes, because they

•  stretched to a perfect fit for me. 
•  are very comfortable
•  look amazing. 
•  go with most clothes.
•  are always a conversation starter. lol

WARNING: The spikes are sharp! I have caught myself in the ankles with these, and it does hurt.

For me sizing down was a good idea, but I have stupidly narrow feet. I have no idea if sizing down would be good for anyone else. If you do it, do it at your own risk.

My Blackmilk collection

Around mid-2012, I started noticing these posts on the internet of girls wearing galaxy leggings.
I thought they were  amazing and thus looked them up ...........and that began my Blackmilk collection.

It's not a very big collections but it's mine.
My first blackmilk purchase was made in December 2012. I ordered the Rainbow Galaxy in medium. It was a difficult decision to make as they have soooooo many Galaxy leggings.
Well about 5 or 6 different colour versions. Still that is a lot.

Anyway, I bought. I wore. I fell in love.

They are so comfy and the quality is amazing. Great print, great fabric and well made.

After my rainbow galaxies came the sheer spartans.

I love these! The design is wonderful. I love the peek of thigh the sheer panel gives. Makes an great pair of wet look leggings, a million times more interesting in my opinion.

And finally my last order from Blackmilk.

 I ordered the Mucha, Green Galaxy and the Adventure time Bro Balls leggings.

The Mucha ones I didn't like as much as I thought I did. In hindsight I wish I'd bought either the burned velvet or the giant wave or the cathedral ones. Oh well.
They're still great, just don't like them as much as the others

 I think my favourites from this order are either the green galaxy ( I love galaxy prints) or the Adventure Time ones.

All my leggings are very well made and the prints are amazing.

 Sure, Blackmilk can be expensive but I think they are well worth the price.

Here I paired my Bro ball leggings with a black velvet skater from Forever 21 and some docs  :D

Plus silly EOTD make up ...I look tired and ill because I probably was. Photo taken in Winter. Japan's winter makes me constantly tired and ill.:(

Next on my wish list ...

Ohh I'd love one of their Game of Throne shooter tops and the burned velvet spartan leggings.

I disappeared from the internet for a while again.

I have been quite busy with moving and work. 

Quick update :Since my last post I moved into Tokyo and I changed jobs.So things have been quite stressful but very fun. 
K bought me a Kindle for my Birthday in September so I have been very preoccupied with that lol.

Apart from hair, I am also loving mint green anything! jeans, socks,shirts, nails ….you get the picture.

continuing with the mint ...mint nail polish obviously. I am really loving this mint polish(middle) that I got in Donki. It's gorgeous.

I also love the other two polishes, the Barry-m one is one I brought with me from England. and the Pa one (sparkles green,gold and blue) is another one I bought from Donki.

My favourite kinds of polishes are holographic, duo chrome and top coats like the Pa one that have little duo chrome flakes. So pretty and make nails look a little more interesting in my opinion.

That it feels like it's suddenly gone from warm to freezing in a day.We seem to have skipped Autumn which is a shame as its my favourite season. I can't complain too much thou as at least its no longer swelteringly hot and humid. Can't win 'em all ah.

Just finished Game of Thrones(love it! can't wait to read the rest) and I'm now reading 'Nicholas and Alaxandra:The tragic and Compelling Story of the Last Tsar and his Family' which is about the Romanovs. I've found it can be a bit dry in places, lots of detail but I am still finding it very interesting. Reading it makes me wish I could see all the beautiful jewellery and deco described in the book.

Jewellery ... more specifically rings and stacking them. I never used to wear rings as I didn't think they suited me. However now every weekend I'll be sporting at least 2 and am always on the look out for more for my collection.
This is my current favourite combo...

Sunglasses
 After seeing all the interesting styles choices in magazines and shops here .I've gotten the biggest urge to increase my collection ( lol..is two really a collection? ) that and I can actually use sunglasses here. In the UK I find I rarely bring my sunglasses out ..here it's so bright:D ! Love it. I currently love my Emoda sunglasses I bought back in February.

Victory rolls
This is a continuation from last summer. I've loved vintage styles for a long time but never really tried them as I didn't think they suited me and I thought they were too difficult. I tried vintage rolls last summer and then consequently got distracted  by work and life (found myself a lovely man: K ) and stopped practicing ......this summer however I shall perfect them!!! or at least try :D




and lastly my Muchacha cat bag 
Currently my go to weekend bag and one of my prized possessions. I saw it last year in my copy of Snap Jelly but then forgot about it until recently.After which I went on a massive internet search to find it . This was given to me by K thou.

I've falling so behind in my blogging and commenting ,im trying to catch up but it difficult when you've a backlog of photos from Novermber to post.

Anyways I compiled my "recent" purchases,some of these are from as far back a November:O so it looks like an epic haul post when really its things I've acquired over the last 2 and half months.Just bear that in mind when you view please:)

From the week before xmas I received a parcel which contained the diamond lashes and Canmake I asked the lovely Emma to get for me in Japan,she also included a letter:),some fliers/promo and a little extra gift of a W<3C sticker(which i currently can't think where to put)

 I almost brought these when I meet up with Emma in the summer but I talked myself out of it as i was trying to be good with my money. Inevitability I crumbled and couldn't resist.I haven't worn them yet as I haven't had a function I felt they fitted:(

 Eyebrow razors from ebay,when I take up close photos of my eye make up I am always annoyed by the little blondish hairs I can see.Silly I know but they bug me.So far I am liking these,it means if I miss a bit of my brow(which I do often) this will catch it.

 My younger sister had a friends and family discount thing just before Xmas,I had gone for present buying until it dawned on me that I pretty much already knew what and where I was getting peoples gifts from.Thus trip was pointless.So I ended up with some very pretty Revlon polishes and a few hair products I wanted to try out.

 More ebay brow things.Not that impressed with this one.

 A Xmas gift from my friend that I naughtily opened early,but in my defence it was small so I was worried it would get lost:D

 Picked up some Cath Kidston Cuticle Cream from TKMaxx:D I quite like it

MAC had free shipping before Xmas ,so I picked up the prep+prime powder as my Candydoll powder has finally run out and 2 eye shadows though one of them was a xmas gift from my mum to me.

Lol a month late for this....anyways my Christmas was quiet but nice,family and good food.:).

This year I asked for perfume,socks,Girl with the Dragon tattoo book,ds case and candles.There wasn't really anything else I wanted to be honest:O

I was quite shocked to find I had been brought 2 perfumes sets:O

 and then pretty much everything I had asked for ..

 So I now actually have a collection of perfumes (the Chanel was brought around xmas too)

In the sales...I didn't go to the sales much as I was struck down with a virus.When I was feeling better I got this ring at Accessorize  and the leather jacket from my previous post(which i ended up returning as it didn't suit me)

I never wear gold jewlerry as i don't think its suits me as well as silver does but this is still pretty.

 Oh god more MAC(self imposed MAC ban from now on)

Madga posted before about the Dazzleglasses and I just impulsively brought one.

 Finally found the Gosh Holographic polish, and theres a better photo of the Barry-m polish i posted in my bb spam.Highly recommend that barry-m colour.

 However the same can't be said for the Gosh polish.Gorgeous shade,appalling formula.:(

Again in the most recent post I spoke about a xmas present I got from a friend,unfortunately practicality was an issue and I had to exchange it for a bag that I could actually fit my possessions in.(I spoke to him about it and he was fine with it)

It was such a shame because the other bag was gorgeous and sleek but due to the way the internal compartments where laid out, if I did fit all my things in it I couldn't close it.

 See?TOT

So I exchanged it for these...

 

 

 This was actually the bag I was originally going to get before I got lured away by the sleekness of the other one.

I've wanted it since September or October (or whenever it popped up in store) I'm really happy with it,it fits all my things in perfectly (with room) and can work for both casual and a little more dressy.:D
