Update:Giveaway and swaps?

I've got a few posts lined up for next week(eyeliner and eyebrow tutorials),I've been out and about quite alot in the last month or so and have negleated my blog and commenting.

As a little thank you for following and because i felt like itXD......come the beginning of May I will be hosting a giveaway,I've seen alot of other bloggers doing it and I always thought it looked like fun,so keep an eye out for that.

Hmm you're probably wondering whats going on in this photo:S.....I am an idiot:(Earlier today I knock freshly boiled tea (!) and it went on my forearm and my thigh.

  

 I think that my pain threshold is quite high so it didn't hurt too much .I was more worried about it blistering and scarring tbh.So I  ran it under cold water  till it stop stinging and then covered it with bicarb paste as in  the above  photo and then smeared it with Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream.

So now it appears to be fine:)No blistering or stinging so far.I hate burns thou,their ugly and painful.

Any way onto my actual post.So I tried the Dollywinks~ cue photos of lashes applied to my grim end of day make up:O

So far : I do like them but the band does appear to be alot thicker than my other lower lashes thus make it more noticeable as you can see in some of the photos.I like the shape of the lash bundles(that make sense?) so I think it makes them look quite natural which I 'd say fits their name "Real Nude"

I will do a review of them probably next week when I get my new camera and can play with them a little more

Yesterday I went to the pub for a friends Birthday.I hadn't seen alot of my friends for a while so it was lovely to catch up:)

It was a perfect opportunity for me to wear my new boots which received alot of compliments:)

 Just a general update with some news and other things.

1st~Himestyle's shop has opened!!XD If you unfamiliar with Himestyle,its the xanga blog of two American Gals,their shop doesn't currently have a lot in it but they're going to be adding more soon.Regardless of that I'm very excited that they have "Nature is lovely"Lashes,bring on pay day!!

First up is Chinaglaze Calcium Gel Fortifier "For those who experience weak or splitting nails",ultimately I think that problems with your nails are diet related and that a good polish combined with an improved diet is a way for stronger and healthier nails  but just getting a super amazing polish to fix it all is  and not tackle the diet is going to leave you with  that same nail problem  as before but that's just my opinion.

For me ,my nails recently began peeling and splitting,which was quite disheartening as I like to have a decent lenght on my nails.I attributed my nails problems to my previously stated B vitamin deficiency(I don't eat alot of meat:O),so I started taking some supplements(which aren't a substituted for a good diet !) and increase my B vitamin rich foods.

I am rather happy with the outcome,I've tried a fair few products for making nails stronger (Sally Hansen,nailtiques~recommend but expensive:O,gel coats etc) and this one is one I think I'll buy again.I've only been using for about 2 weeks and persoanlly my nails are alot stronger now and the peeling is almost goneXD
This works for me but  what works for some might not work for others,so research and read lots of reviews before deciding to purchase products:)

Lush~Sugar Lip Scrub

 

I've been on the look out for a products to exfoliate my lips ,so I was very excited when I saw this on their site.

It comes in 3 varieties, Sweetlips(milk choc),Bubblegum and Mint Julips.

I'm really liking this products,its not to abrasive since you wouldn't want that as lips are sensitive and makes my lips very soft.

I brought the mint as I didn't like the smell of the other two,this one smells like After eights which I always loved as a child and mint choc is still one of my favourite flavours just a shame I can rarely eat it any more:(

One thing I don't like is the packaging,it can get alittle messy.I can't really think of a better way for them to package it though,maybe in a roller pen type thing?

However I will and have been using this before I applying my lipbalm and lipstick:) For me I don't think its overally expensive (at £4.50) since I've not really seen many Lip scrubs about tbh and it does what it says it will doXD

JELLY

I am loving JELLY at the moment,after receiving my 1st copy of it. I'm seriously contemplating getting a subscription. I'm hooked!Well I was hooked before I got my copy but actually having it there in my hand has made me love it even more.It felt like I found something I liked on every page and the whole style of the magazine felt more fitted to me.I mean I really like Egg and Popteen but I can't see myself in the clothes tbh.

Lack of Sleep

I suppose being woke up by my cat last night is definitely out.Shes cute in all but I have to work in the morning and she was just chirping and moving things around in my room in the middle of the night:S  Odd cat.

Waiting on post!

When I buy something online , I give it a longer amount of time then necessary for it to get here and when  it still hasn't arrived I get abit frustrated. So Im currently waiting on a package I brought,Im just hopeing it arrives soon before I've imploded with inpatients:O Though i suppose it will be an even nicer surprise when it does finally arrive XD

and still no camera!!:O

Its ok though as I've a little mantra to keep me going "just over a week until pay day" then I can buy a new camera and I will.I've been saying for the last 2 years(!!!) that I need to purchase a new camera.

On another note does anyone know it Mipo  has a new blog? Since she hasn't updated her old one since August last year.

Back from my weekend

So my  weekend in Leicester went as planned,lots of catching up,good food and seeing the bf XD

I managed to resist the lures of the MAC counter but sadly didn't find any clothes I liked  in any of the shops I visited:(
I did come back with this thou....

I already had the grey one but regretted not buying the black one at the time.

Monday I stop by Sally's after work to get some China glaze varnish to stop my nails for splitting.
I'm aware its a sign of B vit deficiency and have started taking my supplements again,so hopefully that combined with the varnish will help my nails.

In the evening I went to see The Book of Eli with a few friends,I have to admit I didn't actually know what this film was about when I agreed to go.I liked it though.

This weekend my friend is having a themed bday party(I dislike themed parties)it was originally chap/chappette/40s style theme but then got changed to steampunk which doesn't interest me at all and I have zero clothing for it .So I'm sticking with the original and doing a Dita inspired look,got the make up down just need to perfect the hair:)



My orders been shipped,so i'll be expecting that in the next couple of weeksXD

Still no camera,Im debating which one to get...do I get the awesome one I've been lusting after for months that I probabley don't really need or just one that good but isn't as awesome as the other one.....oh the dilemmas

The "awesome" lumix Im lusting after ...there's no current contender for the "just one thats good but isn't awesome"camera option,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:D




TOT Its offical,I have been hit with the winter blues:( If Im honest Im proberly due a low mood recently seeing as I'm hardly ever low.Still it isn't fun,feeling like crap and fail! and a lack of a decent camera doesn't help:(

I also can't spell at the moment ,my spelling usually crappy but today its really gotten rubbish:(

Finally! An update:D

Sorry for the absence,My computers been down for a week and a half and I didn't fancy arguing with my (older:O) sister for the family PC ,which she has grown very attached to recently:S.

Other then computing problems ,I've been working(as usual...boring)
However I did get ...... promoted at work and now will be on a trial run of being the new stock assistant(or a title like that).

So in honor of that,I got home last night at about 12.40am...........from work!!!:O
It was our annual stock take,which took a lot longer than anyone had predicted.

Unlike my colleagues though I enjoy stock take(I must be odd),so it wasn't too much of a bore.I prefer it to dealing with customers,largely because my shop has a magnet for all the angry customers out there.

and today....as I'm running low on my colourstay I thought I'd make the most of Boots current 3 for 2 offer.

I'm not liking Revlon colourstay as much these days,its alittle too cakey looking I feel for my everyday(work) look.
I'm currently researching other foundations to replace it as my everyday one.NARS looks good,but I think its very expensive ,so I'm thinking about bare escentuals.I've tried it before,but I'm unsure.

Any foundation suggestions??

Oddly I can remember roughly which foundations seem to crop up the most in gyaru magazines. From what I can remember,Revlon seems a favourite in Egg and NARS in JELLY (otheres seem to be a mix of those two with some MAC and RMK thrown in as well)
I notice a lot of MAC products in Popteen and Aya Suzuki from Ranzuki last time I looked had a lot of NARS products.
I don't know why I've remembered these things:S

Speaking of gyaru...It's something that interest me and influences me a lot yet oddly I NEVER post about it.I suppose I don't because I feel that my knowledge's is lackingand that I don't think that I'm a particularly stylish person.I try though.

However I will be trying to post more about other things that interest me so this blog isn't solely about my recent purchases:D

Egg Part 2 and My MAC collection so far

After getting the sculpt and shape powder last week I wondered how big my MAC collection was growing .So I took a photo of my collection so far(minus my #7 &#33 lashes ..opps)

(not very big in comparison to other peoples)

Here what I used the most out of my collection at the moment(I have been using my sculpt and shape powder alot this week too)

and while taking photos of my MAC collection I ended up taking photos of most of my make up collection(I need a better storage system)

I thought I had more then this:O

So Saturday night was suppose to be a BIG night out with all my friends but in the end only 2 came out and I felt a little like a 3rd wheel to begin with but then they realised that I was also there and started talking to me more.I hate it when people bail on plans.

My eye make up from Saturday night,just a simple brown with fluid line and (very quickly applied~hence the crappy appearance) false lashes, no bottom lashes this week as I had to rush with my make up :O

So the rest of last week and this week have been pretty quiet,I've got hooked on new programs on TV specifically Scrubs(I love Scrubs!!) and True blood.
Any body else been watching it?What do you think?Or been hooked on anything recently?
With the weather being horrible I've not really wanted to go out either.

It's been bitterly cold here recently and today it rained all day.I have to walk to work and forgot that I have a hole in my right shoe.Thus I get to work and have one dry foot and one soaked foot and no dry socks to change into TOT and yet I was still in a good mood:S
